Bea isn't going to let Ben ruin her mood. Ben isn't backing down from Bea's barbs without a fight. But why is Claudia telling Hiro that Bea is head-over-heels in love with Ben? Why is Hiro convinced that Ben is in love with Bea?

Review/Rating:

*First of all, I want to thank Ms. Carla de Guzman for kindly giving me an e-ARC of her latest book, but I am NOT paid to say anything nice about her book. All of what will contain this review will solely be my opinion.*

This book started my year with an urge to read more.

For a very short book, it was so good.

But of course, no book's perfect, right? So I will be telling my thoughts, opinions, and feels about We Go Together by Carla de Guzman. I'll be talking about aspects in the book, both positive and negative, to help you decide whether this book is worth your money.

On the cover, as you can see above, the cover is spectacular. If I didn't know that this is a self-published novel, I wouldn't think it is. It is so professional looking. It's cute and adorable, perfect for what the story holds. It's also very relevant to the story, which I think most covers lack these days. I love everything from the font, to the color choice, to the objects in it, and everything! It's plain, simple and adorably cute.

On the story, the story was very well thought of.

It follows four main characters namely Bea, Ben, Claudia, and Hiro. Basically, Bea and Claudia owns a paper company. In a sudden twist of events they become co-workers. Years before, they were so in love. Now, they are archenemies. They would do everything to prove each other wrong. But Claudia is telling Bea, and Hiro is telling Ben otherwise. The story surrounds how things wrap up after an awful past meets the present.

I am in love with the story. It is simple but flows out perfectly. It is very well written. I love majorly everything about it. The beginning, although it was kinda confusing first, I still got my way,  to the end was spectacular. I loved the annoying-to-sweethearts kinda thing going on. (Not a spoiler, it's in the synopsis! Hahaha). I also love how the story flows despite the change in P.O.V. Their perspectives just connects so well.

On the writing style, I was very very pleased. I didn't expect to receive such writing, honestly. I was very impressed with the first few chapters. I also like her choice of words. On contemporary novels, we usually see much of the same "bubbly" feel with the same "contemporary" words but in this book, I can really see the effort to not be redundant but still serve the essence and the feeling in that certain event. I also love the witty, clever and funny dialogue! Plus points for that, Ms. Carla! I absolutely love that past then future then past theme, it's on this one! It's like the on 500 Days of Summer? Yess for thatt! And Ms. Carla, did it very well and very relevant. It's made the story clearer than doing it from start to end. I loved that the past also has different P.O.V. very clever! It adds much depth to the story. Speaking of, I also loved the P.O.V. switches! It made the story much interesting and much attractive. It's cute to see how the two main characters react to certain circumstances about each other. The only this I didn't like about this is Claudia and Beatrice's P.O.V. at points I had to recheck which I person I am at. They are very much alike in terms of opinion, character, and choice of words. I mean yeah, they are technically bestfriends which meant they had the same things on life but I got lost at points thinking I was reading Beatrice then finding out I'm on Claudia's P.O.V. Nonetheless, it was very good and well written!

The only main thing I didn't like about the book is, I wanted MORE! Like what happens after the end? Like whatt? I mean yeah they kinda do this and that but what next? What happened to their deal? and all? Ms. Carla is such a tease! Although to be honest, I think the story would go dull if it didn't ended that way.

We Go Together by Carla de Guzman is a book to watch out for. It's a very short contemporary story with much more to it -- amazing writing style, wonderful characters, very well thought of plot, a very very aesthetically pleasing cover and much more that will make you giggle, fall back in love or fall in love!

Reading with Luigi gives We Go Together by Carla de Guzman a
4.2/5 Books!
Recommendable and such a great read!

Favorite Quotes:

"She promised to stay in touch, but that was just a platitude you said to everyone, wasn't it?"
"What kind of love would it be if it crumbled to pieces over one accusation? If it doesn't endure, then what's the point?"
"A voice in my head told me, it was part of their choice. You decide to love someone, and every day you make that choice again and again until you can't make it anymore. You don't quit when you've hit a tiny speed bump. When you're with the right person...working through it is worth it."
"If denial was a river in Egypt, then this guy would be drowning in it.
