#29DAYSWITHLUIGI | THANK YOU AND RECAP!

Hello wonderful readers! This is the first post after a long time without the "Day __ of #29DaysWithLuigi" and it kinda makes me sad.

Nonetheless, this post if for me thanking you, plus some closing remarks, and the recap!

Let's begin!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who took part of this special event of mine.

Thank you to all those who have read or even visited my blog and social media accounts. I am deeply amazed by your support!

To those who joined my giveaway! I am very thankful for that! To those who shared my post and liked them (or hated them) thank you very much!

I was expecting the worse for this event but I got pretty much good support!

I am also sorry for the lack of enough content for this event. As I have said in my previous post, I am pretty occupied and am lacking the creativity to post something great! And I don't want to put out something just for the sake of posting something, I want it to be the best on how I imagined it.

But don't worry, I have lots of review on draft currently and am planning to do some tags! And some *possible* collaborations are coming your way!

MARCH BOOK HAUL (BIRTHDAY BOOK HAUL PART 2) | 2016

~ Welcome to Day 28 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

Before starting this post, I have some explaining to do. I am deeply sorry for not being able to follow my schedule regarding my 29-Day event. As you can probably tell, if you're following me on snapchat (@ luigimacapagal), I have been out in the wild the past few days. I've been everywhere and just continuously exhausted the past few days. I can't even read properly. I am deeply sorry!

Another thing is, I am lacking the inspiration to make posts with my best. I don't really know why or what's happening with me but all I know is as much as possible, I want to give the best possible content I can. I don't want to post just for the sake of being able to post. Nope. So again, I am deeply sorry. I actually have like 4 reviews drafted about two weeks ago now. Those will still come up live but apparently, not on this event. Which kinda makes me sad but I just want to give the best as possible.

For this day, I will be posting my March book haul, which I also consider as my Birthday Book Haul Part 2. I consider it as a part 2 since my February Book Haul pretty much included most of my gifts for myself, lol.

Let's begin!

Last March, I got a total of 6 books! Yes, I know you can only see 5 books on the title of this haul but I forgot to include the last book on this picture, lol.

March is my birthday month and I am not sure why but ever since, I rarely get a lot of books on my birthday month. It usually is because it is the same month with the Holy Week. I don't really know why. I am very happy with the books I got and excited to read (I actually have read some already) the books I got last month.

The first book that I got last month is Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman.

I am very excited to dive in to this book. I have heard nothing but amazing reviews from my friends and fellow book freaks. It follows Kady and Ezra as they are forced to work together after their break up to resolve, I believe, intergalactic war and problems. I have actually included this book to my Summer TBR and I am excited to dive into it!

I actually got his book along with the next book on Fully Booked Glorietta when I attended #VictoriaAveyardinPH.

The next book I got last month is Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes.

This is actually an ARC I got from NBS last #VictoriaAveyardinPH. I am pumped for this books since I loved Alice in the Wonderland. It is a retelling of Alice in the Wonderland (obviously). In this book we follow Danah, the next Queen of Hearts as she encounters some problems and hindrances with her coronation day approaching. I am very excited to dive into this book and see what my thoughts are since I have been hearing a lot of mixed ratings surrounding this book.

MARCH WRAP-UP | 2016

~ Welcome to Day 20 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

For today, I'll be sharing to you my reading wrap-up for the wonderful month of March.

Let's begin!

I was really surprised on how much I was able to read last month considering that this month held my last quarterly exams in school and I celebrated my birthday as well. Overall, all of the books I've read was amazing and I loved them! March was a whole lot better than the 1st two months of the year.

During the stressful and very exciting month of March, I was able to read 4 books - specifically, 3 novels and a novella.

The first book I read last month is Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard.

I have actually posted my full review yesterday, I'll be linking it here.

I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars. I quite liked it and it surely did make me want to go on with the series.

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard is a great sequel, overall. It had amazing new characters and mind blowing scenes. It was not better than the 1st book partially. In terms of great plot twist and breath-taking revelations, I liked the 1st book better. In terms of characters and their abilites, the 2nd book was amazing. This was a great bridge to the series and I think and hope that the series would develop more as it goes on.

The second book I read last month Diary of A Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.

I know, I know. You may have been wondering 'why?'. I myself am not sure why I picked this book up. I actually think I've read this book many years back, but it was more of an childish read. I am not sure, I just read the first page then ended up finishing the book, lol.

It was great and cute. It was very honest and I liked it. I find myself on some of the events on the book which kinda made me continue reading it. As you may have noticed on my Summer TBR, I do have plans on continuing the series. I just loved it and thought of why not finish the whole series that I have on my possession.

Now, I didn't much focus on the literature aspects of the book, I just rated it on how I liked it. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Synopsis:

" If there’s one thing Mare Barrow knows, it’s that she’s different.
Mare Barrow’s blood is red—the color of common folk—but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control.
The crown calls her an impossibility, a fake, but as she makes her escape from Maven, the prince—the friend—who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: she is not the only one of her kind.
Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors.
But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat.
Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?
The electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggle between the growing rebel army and the blood-segregated world they’ve always known—and pits Mare against the darkness that has grown in her soul."
