~ Welcome to Day 14 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

*Disclaimer: This post was meant to be posted yesterday, the 30th of March but I unexpectedly was able to go home yesterday at 11:00 pm after celebrating my niece's graduation sort-of party and my post birthday celebration. So, the dates said below are in my point of view, yesterday. I apologize for being unable to post this yesterday but, I'd rather post it late but on a reasonable time.

So, I wasn't able to post yesterday and the day before that. And that's the first two for this event, I am quite sad but not really. I did have reasonable matters to attend to that forced me not to post anything. Those reasons were apparently, yesterday was my birthday! Yep, I turned an age older yesterday and I was very occupied and overwhelmed with the things that happened that made my forget to add another content to the event, but I have two review drafted out and that will be coming soon your way!

So today, I will officially announce the winner on my bookstagram giveaway and kind of use my new blog title design (new and improved, I guess?) which is something I really love.

Let's begin?

Giveaway Winner:

As most of you probably know, I have posted a giveaway over at my instagram account, @readingwithluigi, and it ended yesterday on my birthday!

Let's find out the winner, shall we?

I have listed down 46 qualified entries who did the mechanic of the giveaway. Using random.org, I have selected a random number between 1 to 46 and picked the name on the list.

The number 13 was chosen randomly!

And on the list, the 13th entry was from....

~ Welcome to Day 10 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

I am finally back on daily blogging after three days of posting on instagram as part of #29DaysWithLuigi! I kinda decided to do instagram post for the past three days because I was very occupied by different religious activities and I was with my friends yesterday. I also felt that it was not sorta 'right' to celebrate with different post considering the holy week happening. But, today is a festive day! Today is Easter Sunday which is extra festive for me and I also wish you all the festivity there is.

For today, I will be presenting you my summer vacation to-be-read pile. Now, I don't literally mean summer, I mean summer 'vacation'. Because let's be honest, summer is almost felt for months and months here in the Philippines. To be specific, the books you are about to see are the books I am planning to read on the month of April and May. I'm still not quite sure if June is included in here since coming back to school can be early as the first day of June. So, let's hope for the best, ey?

Let's begin!

Now, for clarifications, I am not planning to read all of these in order, or to just read all of these. It all depends on how my summer vacation will go on. I also am not stating that I will surely be able to read all of these because as you probably have learned from my '25 Bookish Facts About Me' post previously, I am a very slow reader just because of some factors you've read there.

Starting from the bottom, the first book I want to read is Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.

If you do not know what this book is about, it is two main characters, I believe, named Kady and Ezra who was apparently breaking up. This is set off in a futuristic world, year 2575 and there's sort of a war happening between planets in the universe and the two main characters are forced to work together. There are like spreading plagues, destruction, and such across the universe.

I don't know much about this book but I do know that it looks (especially with that acetate cover) and sounds amazing.

The next book is actually an ARC I won last Victoria Aveyard Book Signing hosted by National Bookstore. It is entitled Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes.

It is a retelling of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. In this book, Dinah, our main character, is the next Queen of Hearts. I believe she struggles with some suspicious events as her coronation day approaches. It is up to her to kind-of unravel these things out and discover how to solve the problems her kingdom is facing.

This book comes of on May 16, 2016.

~ Welcome to Day 6 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

Today's post is more of an explanation of the poems, rants, and such that I will be posting in part of #29DaysWithLuigi!

As you all know, I have another blog named Matt Luigi. It's more of a personal blog. I have recently posted an addition to the #29DaysWithLuigi which is more of an essay-type.

I have posted on why my I chose the statement "Read More!" to end every post of mine. So better check it out on the link below.

To kind of give you an intro to what that post will contain, I'll be posting an excerpt below.

~ Welcome to Day 5 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

Hi Readers! I'll be doing the "25 Bookish Facts About Me" Book Tag! I've been seeing some of my favorite booktubers do this tag, namely PeruseProject (Regan), Abookutopia (Sasha), JessetheReader (Jesse), and ReadbyZoe (Zoe). So, I was very much looking forward into doing this tag as well!

So here are 25 Bookish Facts About Me, some of them are confession but who cares right?

Let's begin!

1. I love collecting hardbacks but I prefer reading paperbacks.
  • I really admire and am fascinated about how hardbacks are appealing to the eyes. I just really love to see them on my shelf and they look beautiful when naked. Although, when reading, I prefer floppy paperbacks. Not just ordinary paperbacks, floppy paperbacks. It's just so comfy to read and is very convenient.

2. I do not enjoy reading eBooks.
  • Now, I'm not being picky here, I just can't read eBooks. It hurts my eyes and I observed that I read less when I read eBooks.

3. I usually read at night, before I go to sleep.
  • Sometime between 9 PM - 2 AM. I sleep very late.

4. I love to read when it's cold.
  • I cannot read when it's hot, I mean who does right? But I prefer to read when it's cold, not even warm, literally cold.

5. I cannot read when it is raining.
  • I admire those who do, but I just can't. It's too noisy and I really get distracted easily by the raindrops.

6. I easily get distracted while reading.
  • I just.

7. I prefer to read on very quiet places.
  • Supporting #6, I just can't read knowing there's a tiny bit of noise. I prefer deafening silence when reading. I just want a very private relationship with the book that I am reading, lol.

~ Welcome to Day 4 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

Today, I will be sharing my February Book Haul with you guys! I labeled this book haul as my "Pre-Birthday Book Haul" because I've noticed that I've kinda spent most of my money last February instead of my birthday month, which is March. Thus, I included it into my birthday bookhaul.

Let's begin!

Last month, I got a total number of seven books. Believe me, that's a lot of amount for a high school student like me. These books are from events, online sellers, and bookstores.

~ Welcome to Day 3 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

Hello wonderful readers! It's day 3 today!

Today, I will be sharing my February wrap-up and everything along with it.

Let's begin?

February, as a reading month, was a whole lot better than January. I've doubled the amount I read last time, which was 1 book, to 3 books this month! (trust me that's an accomplishment)

I have read three wonderfully written books this month and I am so excited to share them with you guys!

~ Welcome to Day 1 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

Now, you may be wondering, what exactly is #29DaysWithLuigi ? Today's post will be dedicated in explaining and me being excited about this event that starts today, the 17th of March, 2016.

Let's begin!

What is #29DaysWithLuigi ?

As the name and the official hashtag of this event says, #29DaysWithLuigi is a 29-day event which will have different book reviews, rants, guest posts, giveaways, and a whole lot more. This event will take place on all of my public social media accounts. The main social media sites that will be used on this event is my book blog, which is basically this blog, and my personal blog over at wordpress. I would also utilize my bookstagram account (@readingwithluigi), twitter handle (@readingwluigi), and facebook page (Reading with Luigi) to be able to expand this celebration. So make sure, that you are following me on these social media accounts to be updated!

Although, I make no promises that the said event will exactly be 29 Days. I will try to keep it as close to 29 days as possible, but my personal life would probably interrupt. *crosses fingers*

And the sole reason of this event is to celebrate my upcoming birthday this March 29!

And yes, if you are wondering, this was inspired from Zoella's #24DaysofZoella. Giving all the thanks to her!

What will #29DaysWithLuigi contain?

#29DaysWIthLuigi will contain lots of amazing, interesting and possibly boring (haha) posts! As of now, I have some planned post that will include book tags, book reviews, book rants, book giveaways, guest giveaways, rants, and reading updates. There are more to come tho, I only have planned about one-fourth to one-half of the event so there are really more to come!

When will this event happen?

As you have read above, this event will take place before, during, and after my birthday.

#29DaysWithLuigi will take place from March 18, Friday - April 15, Thursday. There will be no specific time on which a post will be put up online, it all depends on how things will go. But expect it to be posted on a reasonable time and not like 12 midnight or 5 in the morning.

There will be daily posts (assuming that I could stick with my schedule) up on a certain social media account depending on the content of the post.

Who can participate in this event?

Everyone can participate in this event! Bookworms, book freaks, book lions, readers, or even non-readers (although that would be totally weird) can participate! There will be discussions and rants with my opinion on it which we can discuss in the comments section! There will be different things you could read and like! And, if you have something you'd like to contribute to my event, feel free to do so, it would mean a lot!

But sadly, as of now, all of the planned Giveaways will be available for Philippine Residents only. I'm very sorry but international rates are just very pricey and It would cost me a lot.

And that is it for the Information and Introduction part of my #29DaysWithLuigi! I hope you'd be interested to read and take part of this sort-of event that I have. I will be having the blog giveaway post up tomorrow, so you'll read from me again soon...
