BOOK UPDATES : FAVORITE SERIES!

Hi! Its Wednesday! Here's what we'll do during this day, it's "What I Want " day! This day we'll talk about topics I love, like, or want to discuss.

*Hi Readers! "Wednesdays with What I Like" will now be part of "Book Updates". See my latest post for more details!

Today, we'll talk about my most favorite series - Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series!

Percy Jackson & the Olympians, often shortened to Percy Jackson, is a pentalogy of adventure and fiction books written by Rick Riordan. Supplementary books, along with a graphic novel, have also been released. More than 20 million copies of the books have been sold in more than 35 countries.

As of October 28, 2011, the series has been on ''The New York Times'' Best Seller list for children's book series for 223 weeks. The first book was adapted into a film titled Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief in 2010, which was commercially successful, but received mixed reviews. An adaptation of the second book, titled Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, was released in 2013.

Overall Rate = 10/10

I personally love the series! It's filled with pure awesomeness! The series became my springboard to read more books. The characters, events, places, etc. are so well described and written! If you haven't read it, you've missed a lot!

I have interviewed a friend of mine, named Alexandra Alday ( she's not that busy anymore and allowed us to interview her again! ) Thanks a lot Alex!

"What pushed you to read the Percy Jackson Series?" I asked.

"I always loved fictional stories, The Heroes of Olympus was recomended but by mistake I dowloaded Percy Jackson Series. Without knowing that I downloaded the wrong set, I finished the book. After each chapter of the book it got more and more insteresting until I finished it." she responded.

"Did you love the series? If yes or no, why?"

"I LOVE the series. It has action, mystery and romance, not all books has this characteristics. I brought out the weirdness and creativeness in me." she replied.

"Who among the characters did you like the most and why?" I continued.

"Annabeth Chase, she is very enthusiastic. She always finds away in when facing problems or challenges." she replied.

"If you could change something in the books, what would it be?"

"It would be the features of the characters. I always change the looks of the characters when reading, they maybe Hollywood Characters that complements their traits." she replied.

"If you will recommend this series to a friend, what will you tell him or her to convince him/her?" I asked.

"You'll be hook up reading this series, you'll forget the things around you because the story is so adventurous that you will want more of it." she responded.

"Last question, rate PJO from 1-10." I ended.

"10 OF COURSE" she ended.

There you guys! Two positive feedbacks from readers! Hope you'll read the PJO series if you still haven't!

TIPS TO READERS : READ MORE!

Hi Readers! "Tuesdays with Tips to Readers" will now be "Tips to Readers". See my latest post for more details! Here we'll talk about the tips I and my friends want to give!

Of course, I have mine.

This is the best tip that I could give to a reader. " Read, read, and read. Don't let anyone stop you. "

Here's our first guest! She's a friend of mine named Alexandra Alday. She's my classmate when I was in elementary.

"What is the best tip that you could give to a reader?" I started.

"Always read, this enhances your reading skills, and most of all reading stories can take you to your wildest dreams." She replied.

That's the end for our first guest. She's a busy person ( I could understand her because we're both High School Students )

Wait! There's more.

I have asked a 17 year old girl named Leah Ma. Carina D. Pablo, who is the owner of an awesome Instagram book account named @_carinareads ( instagram.com/_carinareads ) some questions about our topic today.

"What is the best tip that you could give to a reader?" I asked.

"best tip: just read the book/s that will catch your attention. don't just trust on book reviews, it's fun to read blindly and be the first one to love a new book." she replied.

"Thank You. What pushed you to build an IG Book Account and share some tips, opinions, reviews, etc. to others?" I continued.

"booktube gave me the "push" to express my love for books but since i don't have time to film, edit, upload and make myself look presentable. i chose instagram as my next source. Tips : just enjoy posting pictures and creating reviews and many more for you to be heard. it won't cost you a bit if you won't do it. also, have fun doing it because maybe you'll have some book buddies or people who'll enjoy and agree with your thoughts." she answered.

"Are there times that you thought to stop posting in your Book account, stop giving tips to readers and stop doing book related stuffs? If yes or no, why do you think that happened?" I asked.

"yes, these past weeks were hell and i wasn't really that active at the same time losing some followers because of my University life... but, i decided to keep going because i love books, i love how people understand my opinions and interacting with them really uplifts my spirit." she replied.

"Have you ever received a bad comment? What are your advise/tip to those who receive bad comments?" I continued.

"yes. it's a funny story actually.. i was doing a book challenge back then and it involves a "sad death" or something like that.. and i posted it ( of course ). and i warned them.. i warned my fellow book lovers if they don't want to be spoiled.. just stop reading. and then.. there was one account who got angry with what i've made. well, indirectly but i saw his/her post about me. it involves something about an account "spoiling" him/her and that he/she hated that and that he/she would never finish "that book". and that kinda affected me because "he/she hated 'that' ( which is me ) account". so then, i was angry. and i posted my side because i did not know what triggered his/her rage and then that account tagged me. so i was like.. "WTF" i never said he/she should read my whole opinion about it... and yada-yada-yada. bottom line : i hated that account, that account hated mine and i blocked that said account. i just. ugh! it irks me so much that i've never gotten over it.

Tips : don't mind those people who are low and who do not respect you. as i said- keep doing what you're doing and own it!" she ended.

Thank you to everyone who made the past two days successful! The blog views was awesome! Hope you'll enjoy this one too!

MOVIE REVIEW : THE FAULT IN OUR STARS!

Hi Readers! "Mondays with Movies from Books" will now be "Movie Review". See my latest post for more details!

Here we'll talk about the best-selling books that have been turned into movies. We'll talk about other's opinions, reviews, etc. on both the movie and the book. Hope you'll like my first topic!

Our first topic is written by the best-selling author, John Green, The Fault in Our Stars! TFIOS became a trending topic when it still was just a book and it even became talked about when it was turned to a movie! The movie was directed by Josh Boone and is starred by Shailene Woodley as Hazel Grace Lancaster and Ansel Elgort as Augustus Waters. It was released on June 6, 2014 ( on some countries ).

The book and official movie poster.

For me, the book was awesome and as I watched it come to life it became much awesome! The movie almost copied all the scenes in the book! I cried on the movie as much as I cried for the book. It was just plain " WOW ".

Of course, as I promised you guys, I'll interview some peeps on their opinion about our topic.

I have asked a reader, named Kim Stephen Bejerano about his opinion on the TFIOS movie and book.

"What did you like most about The Fault in Our Stars Book and Movie?" I asked him.

"I Love The Pre-Funeral scene, The book as well as the movie . The pre-funeral scene shows how thankful Hazel Grace and Isaac was to Gus. This shows how Gus' Friendship with these two are important. This is the most meaningful part of the book as well as the movie. That's why I Love it ." he replied.

Well, that's the end of our first topic! Hope you guys enjoyed. Sorry I still haven't had many interviews many readers don't reply to my messages. God Bless guys!

I have build this blog to share my opinions, and knowledge about books and know yours too. To be honest, I haven't read much books but like many of us, I own well a lot of books and am planning to buy a lot more. Another reason why I built this blog is because I want to read more books and enhance my writing skills with the posts I'll write. I also want to know what other boys like me think, because let's be honest, there are more girl readers than boys. I will also be having some interviews with readers, sellers, etc. and I'll also posts many book sellers. For the record, all the ideas I have told you guys are my own (unless stated) and I haven't read anyone's book blog as far as I know. So if we have the same ideas, I'm sorry but I'll go through with what I think will be the best for my blog. Bye guys! and I promise to think of many "twists' with my blog others don't have.
