MARCH BOOK HAUL (BIRTHDAY BOOK HAUL PART 2) | 2016

~ Welcome to Day 28 of #29DaysWithLuigi ~

Before starting this post, I have some explaining to do. I am deeply sorry for not being able to follow my schedule regarding my 29-Day event. As you can probably tell, if you're following me on snapchat (@ luigimacapagal), I have been out in the wild the past few days. I've been everywhere and just continuously exhausted the past few days. I can't even read properly. I am deeply sorry!

Another thing is, I am lacking the inspiration to make posts with my best. I don't really know why or what's happening with me but all I know is as much as possible, I want to give the best possible content I can. I don't want to post just for the sake of being able to post. Nope. So again, I am deeply sorry. I actually have like 4 reviews drafted about two weeks ago now. Those will still come up live but apparently, not on this event. Which kinda makes me sad but I just want to give the best as possible.

For this day, I will be posting my March book haul, which I also consider as my Birthday Book Haul Part 2. I consider it as a part 2 since my February Book Haul pretty much included most of my gifts for myself, lol.

Let's begin!

Last March, I got a total of 6 books! Yes, I know you can only see 5 books on the title of this haul but I forgot to include the last book on this picture, lol.

March is my birthday month and I am not sure why but ever since, I rarely get a lot of books on my birthday month. It usually is because it is the same month with the Holy Week. I don't really know why. I am very happy with the books I got and excited to read (I actually have read some already) the books I got last month.

The first book that I got last month is Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman.

I am very excited to dive in to this book. I have heard nothing but amazing reviews from my friends and fellow book freaks. It follows Kady and Ezra as they are forced to work together after their break up to resolve, I believe, intergalactic war and problems. I have actually included this book to my Summer TBR and I am excited to dive into it!

I actually got his book along with the next book on Fully Booked Glorietta when I attended #VictoriaAveyardinPH.

The next book I got last month is Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes.

This is actually an ARC I got from NBS last #VictoriaAveyardinPH. I am pumped for this books since I loved Alice in the Wonderland. It is a retelling of Alice in the Wonderland (obviously). In this book we follow Danah, the next Queen of Hearts as she encounters some problems and hindrances with her coronation day approaching. I am very excited to dive into this book and see what my thoughts are since I have been hearing a lot of mixed ratings surrounding this book.

The next three books I am going to show you are gifts from my sister and we got it all on Fully Booked SM Megamall.

The next book is Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

By the time that you are reading this, I am hopefully a couple of pages left into finishing this marvelous book. This book is amazing. It is purely intelligent and sometimes witty. It follows six characters namely Kaz, Inej, Matthias, Nina, Wylan, and Jesper as they venture on to a very impossible heist. Set in the world of Grisha, this book will completely blow your mind! It is so good and amazing and I just love it. A review is probably coming your way very soon!

The next book is The Rose Society by Marie Lu.

This book is amazing. It's very dark. Marie Lu stepped up a whole lot into becoming my favorite author. She keeps getting better and better. This book is a great proof of that. This is a sequel to The Young Elites so explaining this book would spoil you by any means. Generally, we follow Adelina, a survivor of the blood fever - a wide spread of disease long ago. They are called malfettos for having strange markings caused by the blood fever. Adelina then discovers she has terrifying abilities. She has been used and cast aside. Now, she believes that it is her time to hurt. This series is very dark and unexpected. I highly recommend this and anything written by Marie Lu!

I feel like this is becoming more of a wrap-up/review than a book haul, haha!

The next book is My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga.

This is an amazing book. I also have been able to read this in the 1st week of April. It follows our main character, Ayzel, as she plans her death. She's all ready to leave this world but there is a problems, she doesn't seem to have the courage to kill herself. So she plans to do it with a suicide partner, instead. They plan both of their death together but they seem to be filling each others' empty lives. That's all I can pretty much say but this book is surprisingly amazing. It talks about death and the wonderful thing called life. It is surprisingly funny at times and talks about a whole lot than you may seem to think.

The last book I got is Mythology by Edith Hamilton.

This book is basically compilations of classic stories surrounding the mythologies most in the world. I have read some chunks of this book and I can really say that it's not entirely boring. It made me grow as a Greek mythology fan and I have really learned some things. It's a more serious take on mythology than what I used to encounter reading Percy Jackson.

Those are the books I got last month. I am pretty happy and thankful for those who gave me these books and I am much looking forward into reading these.

Again, I am deeply sorry for the lack of content and expect a lot of reviews coming soon!
