LET'S TALK ABOUT | PLANNING AND BEING ORGANIZED

Hello, hi, and welcome! For today, I have a new installment on my "Let's Talk About" series. I am excited to talk about another beneficial thing I do in hopes of helping you guys out. If you missed my first installment last week, I talked about Podcasts, which are actually very helpful source of entertainment! If you want to check that out, you can click here.

All introductions aside, let's get started!

As you probably have guessed, today's post will be all about planning and getting a little bit more organized than we all were yesterday. I've been really surprised at how the methods I'm about to share with you guys really work for me, considering I literally dumped by 2016 planner. Today, planning and trying to be organized with all the task I do have been an important part of my day, helping me keep track of my tasks to accomplish, future events I need to prepare to, and as well as my achievements.

The first thing I'm gonna share with you guys are probably the first thing that comes to your mind hearing the word "planning"-- that being a planner. Planners come in different sizes, designs, and prices. I'm gonna share with you one of the best planners I think there is for students like yours truly.

My 2017 planner, and the planner I really love using is the Eskwelahan Planner. "Eskwelahan", for my foreign readers is a combination of the words "Eskuwelahan" meaning school, and "kuwela / kwela" meaning funny. The meaning of those two words literally describes how this planner is. It's a very entertaining planner and at the same time still has the features of a regular planner. It has a monthly layout so you can see your activities for the month, an expense tracker for every month -- which I think is very helpful for me, and a daily planner to help you keep track of the things you need to. I use this planner as a checklist, a journal, and a source of entertainment.

But what really stands out about this planner, and one of the main reasons why I chose this instead of thousands of planners out there is because of the weekly activities it contains just like the one above. I think that's really smart of the creators to take a boring planner and turn it into something rather entertaining and witty. I also like how there's a specific theme for each month that matches the activities in it. Like the month of January is creative writing (thus, what the activity above suggests), February is desserts, March is typography, and so on. Also, I still haven't answered the activity above so if you have suggestions, help me out! I got this planner for about 400 pesos and I've got to say, that's relatively cheap in comparison to tons of planner out there. I am all up for this planner, and I think I'll be getting this one too for the next years. If you want to know more about this planner, head on to their website. The second thing I'll talk about are checklists, nowadays there's actual checklist instead of it being just regular pad paper. What I have below is what I often use for school checklists or when I know it's one of those days in which all of the things I needed to do won't fit my planner.

It's a very witty checklists, similar to my planner. It has this quote "If not now, whenever" which I think is hilarious! I absolute adore this one. I recall that there were tons of designs that are funny as well. I got this last MIBF on the Adarna Books stall (I think) distributed by Tahanan Books and A&S Compony for less than a hundred pesos. It's really a fair price for this quality. What kind of checklists do you have?

The last thing in this list has to be one of the most common but most diverse one -- notebooks. I mean where can you go wrong? Notebooks are absolutely the easiest and limitless outlet to plan and get organized!

What I have above are some of my notebooks in my room from different sizes and colors. I have an unlined plain brown notebook, an unlined black-paged notebook, a lined notebook, and a small unlined notebook. Basically, when it comes to notebooks, there's more than a thousand options. What I also like about notebooks is you can really personalize it and make it more unique. That's what I'd love to do but lack the time to do so. Recently, I've watched Ariel Bissett's video about her bullet journal (you should watch it too, click here), and that inspired me a lot to use the notebooks I have at home into something amazing and more of personal. I am sure to write about it once I've made progress!

Planning and getting more organized are two of my resolutions this year, and I am thrilled to have made progress! Whether it's in forms of planner, notebooks, or checklists, I encourage everyone to try to plan and list. It's very fulfilling and kinda therapeutic to see your accomplishments throughout the weeks and months. Of course, you'll never be perfect and cross out every task you set up, I am not too. But the effort of doing so will often encourage you more than you realize. I really hope you decide to start your own planner or anything really! If you do, please let me know! Comment below or tag me on any social media, all of my links are on the sidebar.

That's it really! I'm really happy to have done this post and I really do hope that I've helped some of you out!

Just to remind you guys, I have a facebook giveaway and a Little Prince planner is one of the prizes in it. Just click here and you'll be redirected to that giveaway!

I think that's all I have for you guys today. I'm not sure whether I can finish a blog post for next week, since it's exam week, but I'll do my best! May the universe contrive to bring happiness to you and best of luck!
